Thirteen years of making infrastructure legible.

In short

I started as a system administrator, running networks and servers and helping put an ERP in. After that came years of automating other people's infrastructure with Puppet and Terraform, a couple of years inside an APM vendor learning how observability works from the other side, and the last several years building and leading the platform, IT and security function at a healthcare company.

The through-line is instrumentation. If you cannot measure a system you cannot reason about it, and if you cannot reason about it you end up guessing at three in the morning. I would rather build the boring version that tells you what is wrong.
